ShareWatcher

When sharing files over a network, you can never tell who is accessing them and when. This information can be very important in certain lines of work, but Windows fails to provide it. ShareWatcher will create detailed logs, with this specific information. It monitors your shared information and it will notify you, in real time, when a user is accessing it.

You can download and use ShareWatcher for free. You will not have to make any network related configurations during the setup process. After running the setup file and following the wizard's instructions, the software will be up and running in less than a minute.

If someone is accessing your shared files, the software will display, in real time, the user's name, what folders are being accessed and their paths. This information will be saved in the same section of the interface, on the lower half of the window. If you click one of the files, in the log, the software will open its parent folder in Windows Explorer.

You can set the software to monitor a path on your hard drive, network or a FPT server. If new files are added into a shared folder, from the targeted paths, the software will log this event. You can add files to an ignore list, in the general settings menu, where you may also set and delay notifications.
